My daughter, 8-year old Lizzie Marie, began her culinary business 2 years ago when she was 6. She keeps me busy making new connections to help spread the word of how important healthy eating is; which is her focus. www.LizzieMarieCuisine.com is where Lizzie has an online cooking show in addition to her interviews with chefs, farmers and other people who have an impact on the foods we eat in our community.
How did you become passionate about healthy eating?
My husband and I, collectively, shed over 100 pounds of fat. We became inspired to help others learn how to live healthy and how to introduce fresh healthy foods into a daily routine.
Would you want to come on the show to share your efforts?
If you feel your viewers will receive value and enjoy learning about Lizzie's culinary journey to create healthier communities, we would love to be on the show.
Do you have a favorite healthy meal to make?
One of Lizzie's favorite meals to make is Lemon Harvest Soup. Enjoy her step-by-step cooking video: www.LizzieMarieCuisine.com
What healthy staples do you always keep in your pantry or fridge?
We always have fresh fruit and veggies in our kitchen, along with frozen homemade chicken broth, cold-pressed olive oil, black/navy/cannellini beans, onions, garlic, canned albacore tuna packed in water, oats, raw nuts and whole grain bread.
What one thing can other people do to make a difference when it comes to health and nutrition?
Everyone can start their journey to healthy living by making a commitment to introduce one new healthy habit per month. It can as simple as purchasing organic milk instead of regular milk or starting an exercise routine of something they enjoy doing and making a daily habit of 20 minutes per day. New habits usually develop within 30 days. Create new habits for each subsequent month.
